I would like to see legislation introduced and passed that makes attacking or protesting certain occupations a hate crime. In particular, law enforcement of all forms. If you watch protests against these fine people, you note that hate is very evident. These folks perform a thankless task to protect us and it should be a crime to harm them or threaten them. Why should the color of skin, sexual orientation, etc. be the defining factors for hate?
This Bill will address the enactment of US Code/Law to make the threatening, harming, injuring or killing of a law enforcement officer in any capacity whether City, County, Parish, State, Commonwealth or Federal employment a Hate Crime.
