S. "Lade Majic" Prophete has toured around the world leading the Harlem Ambassadors show since 1998. She has enthusiastically served as a role model for young girls who find themselves empowered by witnessing a woman directing a team of men players as well as competing against and beating male opponents.
She has had an impact, not only in the United States, but in 19 foreign countries, including areas where gender equity in athletics and in life is not a popular topic.
Lade Majic has also served her country by entertaining our men and women in military service. She has performed more than 300 events at over 120 bases in all service branches including multiple tours to entertain the U.S. military stationed overseas.
Throughout her touring with the Harlem Ambassadors, she has promoted greater understanding between the races while encouraging young people to make the positive choice of staying in school and staying off drugs.
We, the undersigned, call upon the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's Board of Directors to select S. "Lade Majic" Prophete for induction as both a Player and a Contributor.
