Thank you to everyone who supported this petition to BDBC to reject the proposal to build on the semi-wild land on Church Street. Together with the paper petition we ran, and allowing for duplicate signatories, we have collected 100 signatures which will be delivered to BDBC early next week. This is in addition to the 118 online objections filed direct with BDBC. You will be pleased to know that Whitchurch Town Council Development Committee rejected the application on Monday. Keep an eye on the BDBC website from early March onwards to see how the application progresses.
Planning application reference: BDBC 20/03262/FUL
Development sought: Erection of nine dwellings and associated parking and landscaping
Address: The Lawn, Church Street, Whitchurch RG28 7AS
This proposal to build 9 new houses on the large semi-wild garden in Church Street will:
• Harm the character of Church Street
• Build on an important open space
• Cause harm to trees and wildlife
• Create yet more traffic
We, the undersigned, request that BDBC reject this application for the reasons given in this petition
