The Ray Brook Post Office is a valuable community resource. It is easily accessible, so it is used not only by people who live nearby but also by people with mobility impairments who live in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. The downtown Saranac Lake Post Office has steep stairs and a heavy door, so the elderly find it difficult to use. Closing the Ray Brook Post Office will force local residents to drive into Saranac Lake, exacerbating the parking problems near the downtown Saranac Lake Post Office.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Ray Brook Post Office remain open. This Post Office is a valued resource as it is easily accessible to local residents and people with mobility impairments.
