A petition for the coming 2015 S league season. The football league organization had announced a merger of Woodlands Wellington and Hougang United football club. We, the Hougang United supporter's group, known as HOOLS (Hougang Only One Love) would like Hougang United to keep it identities despite this ''merger''.
We would like Woodlands Wellington not to be brought into our name change if any, for two reasons:
i) Should there be a possibility for a future Woodlands Wellington return (e.g. privatization of the S.League), we don't want to stand in the way of it. We have deep respect for Woodlands Wellington's heritage and their faithful fans. The respect is deep enough to desire for their return to the league someday.
ii) More importantly, we want to continue to forge our own legacy as THE Hougang United, not to be continually undermined for constantly changing our identities.
Afterall, No Hougang United = No Hougang HOOLS. Hougang is our first name so we want the club name to stay. Please join in our effort to save the club identities. We need every signature to show to the league and club management that we mean business.
