Thank you to everyone who signed the petition in support of getting Chad back to Salcombe. We aim to present it to SHDC very soon.
Sadly they have insisted they will not recognise the petition but we are still going to do it! We have now instigated a formal complaints investigation into the way Chad was treated.
We understand that Salcombe is to lose its roadsweepers at the end of this summer. Salcombe needs those men and we want to keep them.
They are part of our community and they do a fantastic job all year round.
We the undersigned wish the council to reconsider its plan to remove our two manual roadsweepers at the end of this summer and replace them with sporadic flying squads and machines.
Salcombe needs its roadsweepers as they do far more than just sweep our roads.
