This petition is to save Original Herbal Remedies located in the Jamaica Queens shopping center. This is the only female and black owned family herbal business in this community and it has been around in the Jamaica Queens neighborhood for the past 15 years. We want to keep it in the community because it is the leading herbal supplier in the Jamaica Queens area for the finest and the freshest as well as the best in organic herbal teas, spices and wild craft herbs. It delivers pure goodness and quality products from a loving, and knowledgeable staff. Original Herbal Remedies encourages, empower and educate our community to choose a healthier lifestyle. Original Herbal Remedies promotes healing of the body, mind, and spirit with enzyme-rich organic living foods. OHR teaches how and why living foods can help a person achieve optimum health, and we also provide hands on instruction in our living food kitchen, where people learn how to prepare a multitude of delicious and nutritious recipes with ease. This business is up for eviction due to rent increase and because there are more big commercial businesses are moving into the neighborhood pushing out the small businesses that have been servicing the neighborhood for years.
