I want other students and peers to have the same experience with a teacher who cares as much as Mr.Velardi. I've had him for two years straight and he devoted time out of his schedule to individually teach each student and guarantee their understanding. Mr.Velardi is incomparable to any other special education teacher in his department. He is a positive role model and impacts everyone who steps into his classroom. We understand that teachers need to go, but he plays a crucial part in this school's foundation and it would be devastating if he doesn't return
We, the students at MTHS, call on the Board of Education to reconsider their decision to terminate Mr Velardi's contract as a returning special education teacher.
