Kardinia Pool is currently open from October to April each year.
With the increasing population of the region, this puts a huge amount of pressure on other Geelong based pools to accomodate the rising number of public swimmers, school swimming (compulsory), learn to swim schools, squads and clubs during the winter months.
The idea behind this petition is to provide CoGG with a base number of swimmers and squads who will committ to continuing to swim at Kardinia over the winter months. If this is you, please sign and pass on to others who would also love to see this happen.
Note: It is also important to communicate to CoGG that numbers are always down in April due to public holidays, people away for school holidays, State/National Championship events in Swimming & Surf Lifesaving. We are all back in full force come May!
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Greater Geelong to keep Kardinia Pool open all year round.
I/my children committ to swimming from May through to September each year as a squad, club or public swimmer.
