KEEP COACH JANET MCGREGOR AS LCHS CHEERLEADING COACH

Coach McGregor's job is in jeopardy, due to delivery bags to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville ( an event that was an extension of the STOMP PROGRAM) on the wrong date that had been approved by the school board. LCHS Cheerleaders along with Cancer survivor were only one of two schools picked to deliver these bags.

This petition serves as a legal affidavit to affirm that Janet McGregor is a willing and qualified individual to maintain an environment conducive to leading youths in a cheerleading program. She has held cheer coaching position for over 30 years in Livingston County. She has provided council to many youths in the cheerleading community outside of a work/professional environment on her own free time.

The girls under the leadership of Coach McGregor have volunteered their time to raise over 50,000.00 in the past 10 years for Relay for Life. We win the Class A State Championship 2016-2017 . LCHS cheerleaders have also participated in STOMPING TOWARDS the cure ( sponsored by Texas Roadhouse and Baptist Health) for the past 4 years. They practice for months volunteering their time to sell tickets to the performance of surrounding area cheer squads. All money raised goes to local Baptist Health cancer patients with financial needs. Livingston Cheerleaders have contributed over 30,000.00 in ticket sales alone to this cause. LCHS Cheerleaders also volunteer their time along with Coach McGregor to put together a Cheer Clinic where more than 60 little girls get to come and learn cheers, etc as well as perform at High School Ballgames. The list of community service continues as the cheerleaders have also been involved in many trash pick ups through the years. This year they are volunteering their time at Texas Roadhouse. They will be dressing up like Princesses and Disney Characters to raise money for the Keira Holt Memorial Scholarship Foundation. These are just a few of the events that are speer headed by Coach McGregor.

LCHS cheer has worked very hard over the past years with Coach McGregor. If the school is trying to fire her, then all of the girl's hard work will be wasted. Not only has Coach McGregor done absolutely nothing wrong, she has done almost everything right. She has been more than just a Coach to these girls. She's a second mother. In the past years her varsity team has won several Titles and the team is determined for the win again. LCHS cheer has made a name for themselves and to pull this from underneath them is completely unfair and ridiculous to not only Coach McGregor but also to all past and present cheerleaders and their parents. Please help us keep Coach McGregor.
