On June 26, 2018 Borough council changed the animal ordinance to forbid having chickens, honeybees, and other pets in Littlestown Borough. According to the code enforcement officer this was enacted not because of complaints about existing chickens or bees, but because someone inquired about having a pig. Chickens and honeybees should be allowed to remain as pets, adhering to reasonable guidelines by responsible pet owners. We will collect signatures and fight to repeal this recent change to the animal ordinance.
We, the undersigned, as residents of the Borough of Littlestown, require Borough council to repeal the change to the animal ordinance dated June 26, 2018.
