Justice for Zeke

With our teen pregnancy rates increasingly rising our child abuse stats continue to rise as well. In the State of Ohio there were over 79000 abuse victims in 2015. Statitically there were almost 9000 teenagers under 18 that gave birth in 2015 and another 8700 between 19 and 20. That accounts for almost 18000 babies in 2015. My petition is for all children like Zeke whose abuse can be prevented.
Zeke like many other infants suffers from shaken baby syndrome. The irreparable damage will leave this child helpless and dependent upon his grandparents and the welfare system for his care until the die he passes.
Like Zekes parents, many of these abusive guardians are not charged with any criminal charges. Therefore they are not held accountable for their actions and therefore repeat their offense. Also, they do not cover any of the costs for their children. They are not held responsible for the thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills caused by their hands.
I am petitioning three things.
1. I petition that all teenagers ages 13 - 17 are made to take mandatory parenting and counseling classes continually.
That any child that is born to the custody of a minor is immediately assigned to a case worker and is continuely monitored until the parent is 20.
2. I petition that the abusive parents be held responsible for all medical and emotional damages. They should repay the State Medicaid for paying for services caused by their hand. As well as be held responsible to pay for any counseling needed by the abused child.
3. That all cases are heard in a court room. Every child deserves a voice! Every abusive guardian should be held accountable. Classes and counseling held by Children Services is not enough. There needs to be a punishment for every case.
Every child needs their voice heard! They did not ask to be hurt.
