Justice for Lisa

RE: DAVID HAROLD JACOB ID# 37269. On January 19, 1986 at 416 N. 13th, Beatrice, Nebraska, my daughter, Lisa Barrett, 18 her fiance, Jerry Kechley, 21, Benny Bart, 21 and Lisa's Irish Wolfhound Puppy were murdered in cold blood as they slept. The evening before, two men, Kenneth Johnson and David Jacob, came to these peoples' home expecting to be invited in for a party, but instead, they were asked to leave.

A fight ensued and Jacob got a black eye. The two men left and stopped at Gas and Shop in Beatrice where Jacob told everyone in there "they were going to go back to Lincoln (40 miles, their home, get their guns and shoot everyone in the house." These men did return and shot Benny once,point blank, in the face and then proceeded to the bedroom where they shot Lisa 4 times, Jerry two times and the puppy once. Lisa and Jerry had been watching movies at a friend's house and knew nothing about the 2 men or the fight. They were innocent victims!

Jacob confessed and pleaded guilty to three counts of second degree murder. Johnson later hanged himself in jail. Jacob was sentenced to 20 years to life sentence for the murders and three 60 year sentences for using a firearm to commit a felony.

In 2015, his sentence was reduced to three 10 years to life sentences for second degree murder and two 6 year sentences for using a firearm to commit a felony. He will be up for parole soon.

We, the signers of this peition STRONGLY OPPOSE parole for David Harold Jacob. Justice demands he serve the full prision term given to him in the sentence.
