Justice for Ginger!!

Ginger was a lucky little puppy when KSPCA team rescued her from the street and fed her and made her well. She became happy and healthy and was adopted by Ram Dev. She filled the Seven Sisters Farm with love and joy. One great girl! But unfortunately as happy as she and other dogs in nearby farms were, they were wooed with poisoned food and all of them died on Saturday, April 9th, 2016. Ginger along with six other dogs were victims of poisoning. This is the fourth case to Kodaikanal SPCA knowledge, it has happened twice to George Roshan’s dogs and once each near VGP area and Pallangi side. Those are only the cases we know about, there are probably many more. Ram Dev filed an FIR and KSPCA followed up with the animal husbandry doctor for autopsy. It's was very sad to go through the process of getting the autopsy done but we had to do it.

We have to get justice for Ginger and all other Gingers in town who are victims of deliberate poisoning and brutal killings in Kodaikanal.

The Police Department was so understanding and so we want to thank you, Inspector Muruganandan, for your immediate response and investigation of the case. Your role was essential. A letter was copied to the Collector, SP, AWBI, DFO and DSP. Ginger my girl, you died for a reason, you brave girl! May your soul rest in peace. We want justice! Stop killing dogs! Stop using poison, bombs, traps and harmful pesticides that kill domestic and wild animals.

We request the authorities to bring strict laws and punishment against people keeping poison, bombs, traps and harmful pesticides in their fields that would kill the domestic and wild animals in Kodaikanal! Such items should not be sold in Kodaikanal!
