This is a petition regarding Ms Dorianne Camilleri who was sentenced to five years imprisonment for involuntary manslaughter. We feel that the punishment handed out is heavy handed when compared to other sentences meted out for similar incidents. and that there is nothing to be gained for all parties involved with such a ruling. This petition is an appeal to the law courts to be just and consistent when handing out rulings in cases of a similar nature, and to take into consideration that other forms of punishment would be more suitable to Ms Camilleri who has no other history of misconduct.
