We the teachers teach whole day, prepare for the lessons in the afternoon, conduct extra classes in the evening, mark the students’ books at night and life goes on this way.
Beside these, we assume different extra and co-curricular responsibilities in school at different levels, attend several meetings and deal with irate students daily. We work round the clock, and commit ourselves to bring the best out of each child.
We are not asking for a pay raise, or any other special privilege. We only ask for full OT payment, for the work we have to do in the school. If this is too much, please don’t tell us that you value our work.
We, the teachers, demand a raise in payment of Overtime.
