Improve mass transport in Mumbai

Rising fuel costs, heavy pollution, traffic jams, these are the major problems of the present transport system.

In cities like Mumbai the the influx of people is so high that the present approach of developing public transport is not sustainable.

I am suggesting to put a Roller coaster type of arrangement above the existing rail lines. Imagine a starting point as Karjat Railway station & end point is CST STATION. There are around 30 stations in between. For the roller coaster design; the starting point as karjat station imagine building 20 meter high which is a starting point , the there will be a slope at one degree towrds next station.. after the slope ends there will be a straight run up to the next station.

There will be again rise for next 1Km with 1 degree & then again the fall & so on. Actually there would be two approaches.. one is complete use of gravity & other is partly & positive slope & then electricity to drive the negative slope. The idea I have should be studied in engineering manner & checked for feasibility in a pilot plant.
