For over 2 years now, the neighborhood of Woodbine Station has experienced multiple power outages on a neighborhood wide scale. These power outages are rarely ever do to some form of severe weather or incident and sometimes 3 to 4 times a day on a sunny day, while surrounding neighborhoods have full power . The residents in Woodbine Station have reached out to Georgia Power on numerous occasions trying to understand why these power outages continue to happen in our neighborhood but not surrounding neighborhoods. After diligent research, we have come to find the we are the only neighborhood on the Georgia Power grid and others are on Cobb EMC. The Cobb EMC customers rarely lose power even during major weather patterns. We have been told that engineers would be in contact and multiple neighbors have called in to get feedback with no response.
This petition is to request that Georgia Power runs a full assessment through their engineering department and make public to the Woodbine Station Homeowners Association the information found on that assessment. It is our belief that the equipment is for our grid is outdated and that Georgia Power is being negligent in upgrading the systems here in our neighborhood. and communicating with its customers in
