The Chicago area music community is still shocked and heartbroken by the recent death of our beloved member Igor Kinosha Vinokur. He was a humble, prolific, amazing musician.
We have been asked by Igor’s father Alex to pass this petition so that we can erect a befitting monument that Igor’s many friends and fans can congregate at to pay tribute to his short, but bright life. There are hard copies available at Vagando shows, Terra Sounds, Sam Ash, Wheeling Il., etc. If you would like to collect signatures contact us and we will email it.

We the undersigned, request that Sunset Memorial Cemetery Board of Directors make an exception to its standard rule so that a fitting tombstone may be set at the resting place of Igor Vinokur.
This monument would reflect Igor’s prominent status in Chicago’s music community.
While Igor’s family cannot financially cover the cemetery’s 12-plot requirement, we would welcome the opportunity to purchase six plots, so that family, friends, and fans can gather and pay their respects at his grave-site.
