There are perhaps 100's of bicycles that are not used and enjoyed throughout the city and county. Also long, healthy and safe walks are not available.
A comfortable and safe stroll along the banks of the Middle Fork River is not available for our citizens.
We, the undersigned, call on the elected and voluntary officials of the City of Hyden and the County of Leslie to secure funding, roe's, rows and volunteers to develope and manage a safe, gravel and dirt trail along the banks of the Middle Fork River.
The trail will be used for bicycles and foot traffic only. Usage and rules will be posted and enforced. Starting point will be at the City Park and may end at the Middle School parking lot.
