HMRC change their advisory rates for company cars every 6 months, however if the price of fuel rises more than 5% in between times, HMRC say that they can adjust the fuel rates to reflect the change in fuel prices.
Company car drivers are fed up of subsidising their employers, It is only fair that we should get a fair rate per mile to run our cars.
We the undersigned call on HMRC to review the advisory fuel rates for company cars in line with their own policy of changing the rates if fuel prices between the normal 6 monthly published rates rises more than 5%. As fuel has risen more than 10% this needs to happen now.
