My sister-inlaw runs an organization for animals. She has already rescued two dogs from a puppy mill, and actually led the police right to them. The dogs now live with her. My sister brought a dog home to my mom, that she found on the street, hungry, dirty, and very affraid.She lived happily with my mother until she died at the age of fifteen. She was a puppy when my mom got her.
There are too many stories of people mistreating their pets. starving them, hurting them, leaving them alone and frightened by everything and everyone around them.
We the residents of Michigan, are in desperate need to save our animals. We need a law that will put people in jail if there is evidence of abuse.
We need to stop this now. I'm sure you know of someone or have seen and animal who needed help, but were afraid to say something. What about the puppy mills, the slotter houses, the pit bull rings, the shelters that destroy all these precious animals.
We should have a house in the country funded to us through the state where we could have all the animals that are to be destroyed live and grow up here, in this house. And be safe.
