Opponents are trying to stop my AB 1383. AB 1383 imposes a provider dividend fee on hospitals in order to raise the matching funds needed to obtain $3.7 billion in federal Medicaid dollars for our hospital healthcare system. Read the Mercury News editorial HERE.

We need to send a strong message of support to the Senate Appropriations Committee, which will hear AB 1383 on Thursday. Without AB 1383, more hospitals will face closure and we will lose critical funding for children's health care!
