Human Sex Trafficing is a serious and increasing problem in Michigan.
A well-advertised and safe place for trafficking victims to report to without fear of prosecution is a necessary part of ending this crime.
We, the undersigned, call on the Michigan State legislators to form an organization and open an safe haven of refuge in every county in our state, whose main purpose is to take reports of human trafficking and give refuge to sex workers reporting violent crimes against them and keep them safe from their captors, without the threat of self-incrimination for the crime of prostitution.
