We, the peoples of Hawaii, support the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
• We reclaim our Human Right to Peace;
• We are deeply concerned about the catastrophic humanitarian; consequences that would result from any use of nuclear weapon;
• We recognize the disproportionate impact of nuclear weapon activities on children, women, the poor, and indigenous peoples;
• We recognize the importance of peace and disarmament education in all aspects and of raising awareness of the risks and consequences of nuclear weapons;
• We are concerned by the slow pace of nuclear disarmament and the continued reliance on nuclear weapons.
• We stress the role of public conscience in the furthering of the principles of humanity.
We, the undersigned, therefore:
• Call upon the governments of the world to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons without delay;
• Call upon inter-governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and religious leaders to continue to urge governments to support the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons;
• Commit ourselves to continue to live nonviolence as a way of life.
