Fatemeh Salbehi a girl, was sentenced to death at the age of 16 for the murder of her husband Hamed Sadeghi a man twice her age. Fatemeh was chosen by a matchmaker to marry Hamed at a very early age.
The United Nations strictly prohibits the sentencing to death.
We, the undersigned, urgently call the international community and Iran’s leading representatives to swiftly act and pressure the Iranian judiciary court to review Fatemeh Salbehi's case and uphold their ratification of international laws and therefore overturn the death sentence for Fatemeh Salbehi giving her, her freedom back.
We believe that neither the articles from The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (General Assembly of the United Nations) nor the Convention on the Rights of the Child (OHCHR) have been completely applied to her case and to her life.. therefore we demand her immediate release!
