Goulston & Storrs Statement in Response to Recent Events

As members of the national and legal business communities including Boston, DC and New York, we write to express our concern, and show our unwavering support for diversity and inclusion. In light of the divisiveness and distrust that is currently polarizing much of our country, this is no time to be silent. Goulston & Storrs is proud of our inclusive spirit, a spirit that was a driving force in the creation of our firm more than 115 years ago.

To our horror, this past weekend has seen hatred taken to dangerous levels. This cannot be tolerated. Goulston & Storrs is asking our legal community and all citizens to work together, regardless of political party affiliation, to call upon their core values and act in a way that respects and protects the individuality of all human beings.

We are a business with moral leadership, and we are strong in our convictions and in condemning any acts of white supremacy and discrimination on any basis, including race, gender, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability, including all forms of religious intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, racism and bullying.

We ask the entire legal community to raise their voices with ours, and ask the media to help us spread our call for equality and justice widely.
