There is far too much cruelty to animals in New Zealand and the SPCA does not have the legal powers to prosecute those offenders.
This petition is to request that the New Zealand Government appropriately punishes those who offend.
We, the undersigned, call on the NZ Government to change/amend laws in NZ so as to give the SPCA more powers, to ensure that those people who offend against animals are punished with jail time and not simply fines.
