We may not have enough signatures to get the 2016 NM Legislature and Governor Martinez aware that New Mexico Public School Support Staff are in desperate need of a raise... but there is always next year! Gracias!
NM Governor Martinez has presented a budget for the 2016 Legislature that provides absolutely no raise for NM Public School Support Staff, the other people who help New Mexico Public School students to be prepared for a day of learning every day.
School bus drivers, School Secretaries, Education Assistants, Custodians, Maintenance, mechanics and others will receive NO pay raise at all unless the 2016 NM Legislature revises that budget.
We, the undersigned, call on NM Governor Martinez and the 2016 NM Legislature to raise the salary for NM Public School Support Staff such as cooks, custodians, school bus drivers, secretaries, clerks, Educational Assistants and make it mandatory that such employees receive the same benefits as the teachers and administrators.
