In 2003 America was introduced to The Blue Collar Comedy tour. Almost instantly people were overtaken by it, people wore their trucker hats and silly T-shirts that said annoying things such as "Git R Dun" at times that made no sense.
At the time, despite the ridiculous nature of it, this was acceptable. It is now 2009, six years later we are still seeing pieces of this god awful comedy routine. We are forced to spend memorial day weekend listening to over used catch phrases and being explained how we may be rednecks. I understand memorial day is American, but come on Comedy Central, and come on America.. These guys aren't my idea of America.. nor comedy..for that matter.
Enough is enough.
This petition is for the mutual belief that TV programming should be left open for a new, more fresh humor.
For all of those who are tired of spending their weekend searching for something new because Larry The Cable Guy is on Comedy Central ALL day.
For all of those who just "get it" and are ready for it to be over with.
For all those who are ready to see new entertainment, and for all those who are finally just ready to see them give it a rest..
Together, we can make this happen.
The revolution will be televised.
