Fulwell Station Area introduction of Controlled Parking Zone

The streets around the Fulwell Station have sufficient parking for residents, however, there is increasing pressure on parking during weekdays due to use of these residential streets by commuters using the railway station and those working in the Wellington Road commercial area.

Whilst this is convenient for the day visitors, it causes a lack of parking for residents leading further pressure on adjoining roads. This situation is unfair on the residents and causes inconvenience for mature members of the community and those with small children, shopping etc.

In 2017, Strawberry Station area will be subject to similar Parking Study and there is potential that this will further increase in demand around Fulwell Station.

The proposal is therefore that the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames be requested to undertake a study to implement a Controlled Parking Zone to restrict parking for residents only from Monday to Friday for a 2 hour period of the day and thus eliminate all day parking in the streets around Fulwell Station to mitigate the parking pressure.
