Due to lack of funds many service users are unable to participate...in the delivery of services and of policy making.
It is time that we are given the means to truly participate.
We are mental health system experts The powers that be tell us we should not be out of pocket for participating and we could not agree more (reward and recognition) now we want them to prove it
By issuing those who wish to make a change in the mental health system the true means to participate ..Issue those on incapacity benefit a travel freedom pass.. Enabling us to attend and effect change of how our services are delivered by representing ourselves at the meetings that really matter .
And allowing us to re-educate and re-train where we want to .at the courses of our choice...this would be the first time in our journey we would have real freedom to choose ..
