We demand the immediate release of Rozhin Mohammadi

Rozhin Mohammadi, blogger and medical student at Manila Medical School of Philippines got arrested upon her return to Iran and was transferred to Evin prison.

Ms. Mohammadi flew from Istanbul to Tehran on November 14, 2011.Upon arriving at Imam Khomeini Airport, she was arrested by Iranian security agents and taken to Evin Prison. She was then released on bail after being detained for 24 hours. Five days later, on November 19, 2011, security agents raided her father’s house in Kermanshah in order to arrest her again. However, since she was not home at the time of the raid, the police failed to take her into custody.

On November 21, 2011, Rozhin Mohammadi was summoned by phone to Shahid Moghadasi Court in Evin Prison, and her personal belongings including a computer were confiscated. She was interrogated for 3 consecutive days and finally arrested again on November 23, 2011 and locked up behind bars in Evin Prison.

It has been reported that Rozhin Mohammadi is currently being held in solitary confinement in Ward 2A of Evin Prison. This ward is under the control of Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (IRGC).

Thus far, Rozhin Mohammadi has been denied access to an attorney and also phone calls or visits with her family. Iranian judicial and security officials refuse to disclose to her family where in Evin Prison Rozhin Mohammadi is being held. Other reports indicate that the prosecutor at the 3rd branch of Evin Court has charged Rozhin Mohammadi with conspiracy against national security and propaganda against the regime by the means of human rights activism.

Although more than one week has passed since Rojin Mohammadi was arrested upon arriving in Iran, nothing is known about her current condition.

We, the undersigned, strongly condemn the arrest of her and seriously worried about the physical and psychological condition of Ms. Mohammadi. We demand preliminary rights for her including access to her lawyer, her family, telephone connection, her immediate release and annulment of all charges against her. We declare that her keeping in a solitary cell and breaking her connections with her family is an obvious case of torture.

We demand immediate reaction of following organizations:
Amnesty International, Human rights watch, Reporters without borders, World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).

ما خواستار آزادی فوری روژین محمدی هستیم

روژین محمدی وبلاگ نویس و دانشجوی رشته پزشکی دانشگاه مانیل در فیلیپین،
پس از بازگشت به ایران بازداشت و به زندان اوین منتقل شد. این وبلاگ نویس
۹ روز پیش در تاریخ ۲۳ آبان از فرودگاه استانبول به تهران پرواز کرده بود
که پس از پیاده شدن در فرودگاه توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به زندان
اوین منتقل شد.
وی پس از ۲۴ ساعت به قید وثیقه آزاد شد اما ۵ روز بعد نیروهای امنیتی
جمهوری اسلامی در تاریخ ۲۸ آبان جهت بازداشت وی به خانه‌ی پدری‌اش در
کرمانشاه یورش بردند که به علت عدم حضور وی در این شهر موفق به بازداشتش نشدند.
روژین محمدی بار دیگر بصورت تلفنی در تاریخ ۳۰ آبان به دادسرای شهید
مقدسی زندان اوین احضار شد که پس از دستور ضبط وسایل شخصی از جمله
کامپیوتر دستی‌اش و سه روز بازجویی متوالی، نهایتن امروز ۲ آذر مجددن
قرار بازداشتش صادر و او را به زندان اوین منتقل کردند.
این فعال حقوق بشر که ٢۵ سال سن دارد توسط بازپرس شعبه سوم دادسرای اوین به اتهاماتی همچون اجتماع و تبانی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور، تبلیغ علیه نظام و انجام فعالیت های حقوق بشری متهم شده است.
به رغم گذشت بیشتر از یک هفته از بازداشت روژین محمدی که پس از بازگشت به ایران بازداشت شده است، هنوز از سرنوشت وی هیچ اطلاعی در دست نیست
ما امضا کنندگان این نامه بازداشت روژین محمدی را به شدت محکوم کرده و به
طور جدی نگران وضعیت جسمی و روحی خانم محمدی هستیم. ما خواستار احقاق حقوق اولیه ایشان از جمله دسترسی به وکیل، ملاقات با خانواده ، تماس تلفنی و همچنین آزادی فوری وی و لغو تمامی اتهامات علیه ایشان هستیم. ما اعلام می کنیم نگهداری ایشان در سلول انفرادی و قطع ارتباط او با خانواده مصداق بارز شکنجه محسوب می شود.
ما خواستار واکنش فوری نهادهای بین المللی از جمله سازمان عفو بین الملل، سازمان دیدبان حقوق بشر، سازمان گزارشگران بدون مرز، سازمان جهانی منع شکنجه و فدراسیون بین المللی جامعه های حقوق بشر هستیم.

Rozhin Mohammadi is suffering in Ward 2A, Evin Prison. She contacted her family briefly by phone and informed them of her nervous convulsions and migraine headaches in prison. Her current condition is the direct result of her incarceration and pressures exerted by the interrogators in order to force her to confess and accept charges filed against her.
Intelligence agents have been pressuring Rozhin Mohammadi's family not to broadcast the news of her condition. Her brother was also summoned to Shahid Moghadasi Court in Evin Prison and threatened.

روژین محمدی در وضعیت نامساعدی در بند دو-الف زندان اوین(متعلق به سپاه پاسداران) به سر می‌برد. وی در تماس کوتاهی که با خانواده‌ی خود برقرار کرده، از تشنج عصبی و سر دردهای شدید(میگرن) خود در زندان خبر داده است. به نظر می‌رسد وضعیت نامساعد وی حاصلِ شرایط زندان و فشار بازجویان جهت پذیرش اتهامات باشد.
خانواده‌ی این زندانی سیاسی در حال حاضر برای عدم انعکاس اخبار وضعیت وی در زندان تحت فشار ماموران امنیتی قرار دارند و در همین راستا برادر وی نیز طی روزهای اخیر به دادسرای مقدس واقع در زندان اوین احضار و مورد تهدید قرار گرفته است.
