Free Prophylactic Bilateral Mastectomies for High-Risk Developmentally Disabled Women
- Target:
- Mental Retardation/ Developmental Disabilities
- Region:
- United States of America
Women who have a history of breast cancer and a developmental disability, should have the same rights to a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy as other women with a high risk of breast cancer.
See the above statement, also know your own risk factors of this disease as it occurs in 1 in 7 women in the United States alone. Breast Cancer killed my grandmother in Oct. 1995, and my aunt is a three-year survivor of the disease.
Women, especially disabled women, those of you who are at high risk please sign my petition so you can consult your doctor. Make BRCA1 and BRCA2 testing an option. But don't make it a must as it can get more expensive with Medicaid and Medicare.
