Jordan Blackshaw, 20, and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22, were each jailed for four years at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 16th August after setting up Facebook pages encouraging riots in their neighbourhood.

Blackshaw set up an event called "Smashdown" in Northwich but no one apart from the police, who were monitoring the page, turned up at the rendezvous outside McDonald's.

Sutcliffe-Keenan set up a page called Warrington Riots. When he woke up the following morning with a hangover, he removed the page and apologised, saying it had been a joke. No rioting broke out as a result of his message.

Criminals who were actually involved in the riots and committed acts of violence and criminal damage received either suspended, or short sentences of 12months and less.

We feel the Prime Minister should review the two sentences passed down to Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan and Jordan Blackshaw and instead, impose a closer monitoring system to tighten Facebook Security

We the undersigned call on the the Prime Minister and the British Government to Free Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan and Jordan Blackshaw, review their sentences and impose tighter facebook security to monitor activity.
