FOR INCREASED TRANSPARENCY OF THE AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION
We the Members of the American Angus Association do not give staff or board members the right to decide what is good for the Membership to know and what is not good for the Membership to know. Information is power, and by withholding information from the membership, current practice strips the membership of its power and ability to determine the priorities and course of its own organization. So that members may retain control over the association they created, we petition that the board and staff keep us informed.
We the undersigned, in order to improve the American Angus Association, affirmatively support the following amendments to the American Angus Association By-Laws.
AMENDMENT #1
Article VI Officers Section 6.8 Chief Executive Officer
THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SHALL…(X) PUBLISH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING AGENDA NO LESS THAN 72 HRS PRIOR TO A MEETING IN A PLACE HIGHLY ACCESSIBLE TO MEMBERS IE: HOME PAGE OF THE AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION WEBSITE

THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SHALL…(XI) PUBLISH THE COMPLETE VOTES OF ALL BOARD MEMBERS BY NAME IN THE MEETING MINUTES

THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SHALL…(XII) PUBLISH THE FULL AND OFFICIAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEETING MINUTES, WHICH HE OR SHE PRODUCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE VI OFFICERS SECTION 6.8 CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, NO MORE THAN THREE (3) DAYS AFTER A BOARD MEETING IS ADJOURNED
