The express bus service serves areas of New York City that have difficulty reaching or affording other means of transportation in order to get to Manhattan. Many of us work, and are sick of the buses being late, full, or even 15 to 20 minutes early. This negatively affects our careers and lives. Countless people I know have sent in complaints, which the MTA never follow up except with copy-and-paste emails. We the people demand that there be accountability when it comes to express bus service.
We know that these circumstances are within the control of New York City. When the buses were owned by private companies, complaints were quickly addressed and service was outstanding.
We, of the BxM9 line, have almost unanimously determined the service to be substandard. However, we know that this cannot be an isolated incident and affects all other express bus lines. Please join us in making a change.
We, the undersigned, demand increased oversight and accountability of express bus lines run by the NYC MTA.
