#Law Reform
Target:
Executive Branch (President)
Region:
United States of America

Since the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 illegalized the use of personal marijuana, people around the nation have asked for law reform to make marijuana legal for all uses, whether personal or medicinal.

To date, there has not been a single recorded death caused by marijuana overdose, while other drugs such as alcohol has been allowed and kills thousands of people a year.

The reasons for the illegalization of marijuana were based on fear that was not scientifically backed up. In recent history, tests have been conducted and found that the negative effects of marijuana were grossly overstated.

We, the undersigned, call on the U.S. government to nationally decriminalize marijuana and legalize marijuana for private and legal use for all adults of the age of eighteen and over.
