- Region:
- United Kingdom
To our dismay, despite the many submitted objections from residents, councillors, the local school and the NELM Development Trust, the Planning Committee have approved this mast application.
Thank you though for everyone's support, our past and present objections have helped to limit the mast design and impact.
Unbelievably, Vodafone and Telefonica have now submitted 2 additional mast applications very nearby!
-Planning application 12/00894/T for a 12.5metre mast on the pavement of Farrow Road.
-Planning application 12/00959/T for an 11.8m mast on the verge of Hutchinson Road.
If you wish to object to either or both of these phone mast applications please email the Planning Department planning@norwich.gov.uk and quote the Planning Application numbers with your objections.
Thank you

SAY NO!
Vodophone/Telefonica UK try to put up a 17.5m high phone mast off Guardian Road near to the NELM Kids Play Park, Henderson Green Primary School, Business Centre, Care Home, Community Hospital and residential housing estates.
This is the same site where Orange previously tried and was refused planning permission due to resident's overwhelming objections.
LATEST NEWS: THE APPLICATION WILL BE DECIDED BY THE CITY COUNCIL'S PLANNING APPLICATION COMMITTEE FROM 10:00AM, THURSDAY 17TH MAY 2012. PLEASE COME AND OBJECT WITH US. IF YOU WISH TO SPEAK AT THE MEETING, HAVING ALREADY OBJECTED BY PETITION, LETTER OR EMAIL, PLEASE INFORM jackierodger@norwich.gov.uk BY WEDNESDAY 10:00AM 16TH MAY.
I object to this planning application. I feel it will detract from and adversely affect the amenity of the surrounding residential areas, nearby Kids Play Park and school, towering some 17.5 metres in the air, above the skyline, visibly imposing and out of character.
I fear for potential adverse affects on health and property values, and do not recognise the need for this mast.
I urge the authority to reject this application.
