Demand justice, compensation and investigation into the gruesome murder of the 29 villagers killed while seeking refuge from the Nigeria army Special Tasks Force in Jos

On the 15th of October 2017, gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen attacked Nkiedeonwro village, Miango district of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Some of the villagers in search of refugee ran to LEA primary school Nkiedeonwro where the Nigerian Army Special Task Force (STF) Jos, where camping to seek refuge. The security agents asked the fleeing villagers to go into a classroom assuring them of protection from the attackers and guaranteeing them and their life would be safe, 31 villagers ran into the classroom and the security officials locked them in the classroom after collecting their cellphones.

The attackers managed to get hold of the key to the lock without killing a single security agent and proceeded in shooting everyone present in class. 29 women, children, men, the old and weak where killed as a result of the negligence of the the Nigeria Army Special Task Force (STF) Jos, who ushered them into the classroom where they were massacred in cold blood while 2 were seriously injured.

It's almost a year and yet no serious investigation, into the killings or single arrest has been made since the massacre. More than 200 persons have been killed by the Fulani Herdsmen in Jos from 2017-2018 and over 11,500 have been left displaced with their only means of livelihood destroyed.

Compliant letters and press statements have been written to the federal and state government yet nothing has been done about it.
