Davey Allison deserves to be in the hall of fame

It has been over 20 years since Davey tragically passed away. He exemplified the sport of NASCAR from his family ties to his respect from his fellow NASCAR competitors and especially the fans. He loved the fans and was there for them even when he had a bad day.

His stats are remarkable:
He set the first record with 5 poles and 2 wins in 1987.
He competed in 191 cup races where he had 19 victories
He was the first rookie to have 2wins in his first season and he never went a season without winning at least 1 race.
He was the 1st driver to win 2 NASCAR all star race events at Charlotte in 1991 and 1992.
In 1988 at the Daytona 500 he chased his dad to the checkered flag in his 2nd attempt at Daytona yet he still celebrated in Victory lane with his father.
He was a championship threat and would have won championships if his life not been cut short.
He represented Alabama and NASCAR like a champion would.
He is a legend and is still talked about by fans.

For these reasons, it is time that Nascar, the sport Davey loved so much, honor him and his legacy by indicting him in the NASCAR hall of fame.
