Phuket is an island in the Andaman sea, its is a small island and much of its income is dependent on tourists flocking to Phuket because of its pristine beaches and natural beauty, not to mention its fantastic nightlife.
But with Phuket's current plastic addiction every day tonnes of plastic waste is being sent Phukets landfill and the incinerator at its maximum the problem is only getting worse with each passing day.
It is up to Phuket citizens and students to join together and help reduce plastic consumption in Phuket.
We the undersigned, call on the citizens and businesses of Phuket to reduce the consumption of non-essential plastic materials.
By signing this petition we call to the Government of Phuket to educate the communities of Phuket in the environmental issues we face on the island today.
We also wish for the institution of recycling programs to reduce the amount of plastic in the landfill.
