Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development has received a letter of intent and rezoning application on behalf of Brand Partners, LP to rezone the 1600 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard from light industrial to high density apartments. The 1600 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard is located in a floodplain/flood zone. The 245 unit apartment complex will be built within the floodplain/flood zone. In the Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission Public Hearing on April 9, the rezoning was tabled until June 5 for the applicant to attempt to get the floodplain/flood zone re-evaluated to enable them to legally build in this area. The floodplain/flood zone floods during heavy rains; building in the floodplain/flood zone will lead to damage to the environment and private property. Please sign this petition to show that you are against the development of the 1600 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

We, the undersigned call on the Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development NOT to rezone the approximately 16.068 acre tract located on the easterly side of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard between McGinnis Ferry Road and Sugarloaf Parkway, 1600 Block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, from M-1 (industrial use) to RM=24 (residential multi-family high density development) zoning classification of the Gwinnett County Unified Development Ordinance.
