I am requesting the City and Town Planners of Weatherford, Texas to consider building a YMCA or a Year Round Aquatic Center. Our city population of 30,000 and Parker County's population of 117,000 justifies the request of a possible bond election t0 pay for the construction of said facility. At the present time, the Weatherford City Pool is the only option for water aerobics and that is only for a short two and a half months. Classes usually have any where from 25 to 60 participants . A YMCA would be beneficial to all age groups with numerous programs to enhance child development, healthy living and social responsibility. A Year Round Aquatic Center would also offer several programs to benefit individuals, families and our community as a whole.
We, the citizens of the City of Weatherford and/or Parker County, Texas are requesting the construction of a YMCA or Year Round Aquatic Center to be placed on a Bond Election for the community to vote upon.
