CITIZEN PETITION OPPOSING THE PLAZA PROJECT ON MAIN STREET (OCEAN OPTICS PARKING LOT) AND SUPPORTING COMPATIBLE DEVELOPMENT IN DOWNTOWN
- Target:
- Dunedin City Council
- Region:
- United States of America
- Website:
I am a resident of Dunedin, and urge the city commission to
reject The Plaza project (Ocean Optics parking lot) on Main
Street in downtown Dunedin as incompatible with its surroundings,
and out of touch with downtown’s basic character and atmosphere.
I hereby petition the Dunedin City Commission to approve
only downtown development which is compatible with the height,
size, and style of the existing structures in Dunedin’s downtown
community, and which enhances it’s basic character as a quaint
village community.
I request and encourage the Dunedin City Commission to
change the city code as necessary to protect Dunedin’s downtown,
and hold the line against incompatible development in order to
maintain its warm and friendly small-town atmosphere for our
future.
