After 11 months of being messed around by the new Child Maintenance department which took over from the C.S.A, I have been given numerous excuses as to why payments are never on time. I had been told previously that there had been no changes at all with the take over but obviously that can not be true as I had been notified of payment collection and my payments were always there on time.
Today I got told by a Maintenance Department employee that there is a clause missing that allows employers to pay whenever they feel like and not on a specific set date or day which means the receiving parent can not tell when payments will be made.
The Maintenance Department needs to reform the legislation with regarding employers.
There must be a clause written in that employers must pay by a certain date each month to the Child Maintenance Department or face fines and court action if they fail to do so.
