Chicago Policemen’s Annuity & Benefit Fund Forensic Audit

According to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, 96% yearly boiler plate audits such as the Chicago Policemen’s Annuity & Benefit Fund never detect fraud.

In no way, are we accusing or making allegations against elected and appointed trustees, employees, legal advisors, physicians, and the yearly auditors.

The Policemen’s elected Trustees should welcome the forensic audit, if for no other reason than to point out ways to properly fund our pensions, and cut corners on wasteful spending since our pensions are 22% funded.

During the recent April 30, 2020 Chicago Policemen’s Pension Board Meeting, we called for complete Comprehensive Forensic Audit., announced we raised the money, had a Forensic Auditor in place, and wish to start the audit in July. This request met with resistance.

Therefore, by signing yet, another petition, the undersigned retirees, active and widows are calling for a comprehensive forensic audit as soon as possible.
