Change wrongful death guidelines in Virginia

We have the undersigned want to change the Va. guidelines in wrongful death suits. As they are right now if you aren’t a Doctor or Someone with a great career and you don’t have a perfect past the jails can actually get away with murdering you. Then tell your family that your life wasn’t really worth that much anyway. My daughter was 23 when she was tortured and left like a dog on the floor of Portsmouth City Jail. Before and since then their have been countless deaths in the jails behind their inhumanly and gross negligence. Do you want to know why? These families of the people. First have to find a lawyer willing to fight the case and go against the jail and if they are lucky enough to find one in the end the Va. guidelines offers a minimum amount of money to make up for the loss of your loved one. We personally know countless people that have suffered neglect, and had their rights violated in these places. The point of a lawsuit is to make people aware of what is going on and to punish the people or entity that harmed you but I’m sorry a few thousand dollars that they aren’t even going to miss with no publicity isn’t going to change anything. If they had to pay out a realistic amount for a human being things would change real quick and I bet they would start to treat them as such! (Human beings Instead of animals.) We are sick and tired of the justice system intentionally hurting, neglecting, and killing people. People are aware of what’s going on! Why is this still happening at an alarming rate?
