Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It's a day of picnics and patriotic parades, a night of concerts and fireworks, and a reason to fly the American flag.
Fireworks were used for signals and celebrations for centuries and yet Ohio wants to ban citizens from enjoying them. This is like putting a knife in the back of everything America and its citizens have fought for.
We, the undersigned, call on the State Legislature to reform the current firework law set for Ohio and make it legal for its' citizens to discharge "Display Fireworks" and "Consumer Fireworks" on the user's property; or on the property of someone who has consented to the use of fireworks.
