Christine O'Donnell asked the Internal Revenue Service to cancel the 501(c)(3) tax exempt / tax deductible status of left-wing "CREW" (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington).
C.R.E.W. has a long history of smearing conservatives to influence US politics. Melanie Sloan, CREW's Executive Director, earns $230,000 a year for slandering Republicans, such as Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and Christine O'Donnell.
Tax exempt organizations are prohibited from advocating for or against political candidates. Donations to C.R.E.W. are tax deductible as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
But C.R.E.W. started to campaign against Christine O'Donnell in her run for U.S. Senate in Delaware, within hours of her winning the Republican nominee.
On September 14, 2010, around 8:15 PM, Christine O'Donnell was declared the winner of the Republican primary over Mike Castle.
Only hours later, the morning of September 15, 2010, C.R.E.W. launched a massive public advocacy campaign to defeat Christine O'Donnell, calling her a "criminal" who "belongs in jal, NOT IN THE U.S. SENATE."
Melanie Sloan repeatedly admitted that C.R.E.W.'s actions were to defeat Christine O"Donnell in the US Senate campaign.
C.R.E.W. then filed a criminal complaint on September 20, 2010, asking to have Christine O'Donnell put in jail. Those charges were thrown out in July 2011, AFTER COSTING CHRISTINE O'DONNELL HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LEGAL FEES AND EXPENSES.
C.R.E.W. delivered 3,000 petitions to the U.S. Attorney (Federal prosecutor) in Delaware asking to have Christine O'Donnell thrown in jail.
CAN WE GET 3,000 PETITIONS ASKING TO CANCEL C.R.E.W.'S TAX EXEMPT STATUS.
TO THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE:
WE, the undersigned, call on the Internal Revenue Service to cancel the IRC 501(c)(3) tax exempt status of the non-profit organization "Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington" and stop the organization from unlawfully meddling in U.S. elections using tax deductible donations.
